Spain has always been the ideal place to shoot movies because of the beautiful scenery. Whether you’re going on a vacation or on Peak Performance Tours, there are places that have appeared in movies that you should definitely go to. Here are some of the places that you should definitely go to if you’re a movie fanatic:

Gran Canaria

If you’re a fan of Fast and the Furious, you’ll definitely love this place. It is a cliff area where you’ve probably seen a lot of car chases and action. It’s a breathtaking area that also provides a lot of great photo opportunities. If you have a car, you can even bring it there and pretend that you’re Vin Diesel’s character going for another wild ride.

Granada and Playa de Monsul

Granada and Playa de Monsul are the places where the Steven Spielberg film Indiana Jones was filmed in. If you visit this place, it’ll really feel like you’ve stepped into the world of Indiana Jones and that you’re all set for your next adventure. One interesting fact about this place is that the Cabo de Gata Nijar Natural Park was also used for the beach scenes and road scenes so you can take a look at that place too if you want.

Maspalomas Dunes

You probably wouldn’t think that the movie Clash of the Titans was filmed in Spain, right? Well, it actually was – in the Maspalomas Dunes to be exact. It is one of the most beautiful desert areas in Spain, giving the perfect battlefield for the titans to fight in. Visiting the area can really make you imagine Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades being there all at the same time. Also, Canary Islands was also a chosen spot to film the scenes at the sea.

You may not have noticed, but Seville was actually the chosen spot to film Season 5 of Game of Thrones. The directors thought that Seville was the perfect place to intensify the plot of that season, which is why they chose it for the background and scenery. Other minor places that were filmed in the series included Barcelona and Navarre. However, these other two places were filmed during the other seasons.

Plaza De Espana

Another movie that was filmed in Seville was Star Wars: Attack of the Clones – specifically in Plaza de Espana. Remember the scene with Anakin, Padme, and R2D2 walking in some sort of castle? Well, that was Plaza de Espana. Due to the angles, you wouldn’t really know, but if you took a closer look, you’d somehow be able to tell.

If you’re a fan of blockbuster movies, then you’ll definitely want to visit these places. Tourists on vacations or student travel tours will most likely be able to recognize these places if they’ve watched the movies that we’ve mentioned above. Planning to travel to Spain sometime in the year? Then don’t miss out these amazing tourist spots. Being there will be like entering a movie and being in the middle of the climax.
